#SurfaceTheWomen

LauraRocks

Microsoft and Mimmitkoodaa -program (women code -program) joined their forces to get women in the IT industry to share their stories and also encourage other women to the industry. The purpose of the Mimmit koodaa -program is to increase equality in the Finnish software industry by breaking the stereotype that coding is only for men.

I also shared my story in LinkedIn, my almost 20 years in coding and IT has brought me to yet another stage in my life where I get to learn all the new and shiny things in web development. When I wrote my post to LinkedIn, I also remembered my sad, lonely and forgotten blog about coding. I realized that it wasn't even functional anymore, so I decided to switch the whole blog to different (new and hip, of course!) platform and make it completely decoupled. Because I can!

This is the very raw version of the blog, and I will gradually enhance it along the way and make some posts about the making of parts. Stay tuned!
